The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to creating a world where Black and Brown communities are represented and respected by our democracy. The organization defends racial justice through legal advocacy, community empowerment, and national impact initiatives.
It focuses on dismantling white supremacy, strengthening democracy and voting rights, ending unjust imprisonment, and eliminating poverty and economic inequality. Through tracking hate, monitoring extremist groups, and challenging systemic injustice, the SPLC promotes safety, equality, and opportunity for all.
