Southern Poverty Law Center is hiring an Intern, Project Management (IT) (Fall 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing IT projects, including planning, execution, and closure.
  • Support the project management team in tracking project progress and milestones.
  • Help in creating and maintaining project documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings and take minutes.
  • Contribute to the development of project timelines and schedules.
  • Assist in risk management and issue resolution processes.
  • Support the team in stakeholder communication and coordination.
  • Help in the preparation of project reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the implementation of project management best practices.
  • Participate in the evaluation of project outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Support the team in the use of project management tools and software.
  • Assist in the coordination of project resources and budgets.
  • Help in the identification and management of project dependencies.
  • Participate in the development of project charters and scope statements.
  • Support the team in the management of project changes and scope creep.
  • Assist in the facilitation of project team meetings and workshops.
  • Help in the development of project communication plans.
  • Support the team in the management of project risks and issues.
  • Assist in the creation of project dashboards and visualizations.
  • Participate in the development of project management templates and standards.
  • Support the team in the management of project stakeholders and expectations.
  • Assist in the evaluation of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Help in the development of project management training and development programs.
