Southern Poverty Law Center is hiring an Intern, Policy - Mississippi Office (Fall 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in policy research and analysis.
  • Draft policy briefs and memos.
  • Monitor legislative and policy developments.
  • Support policy advocacy efforts.
  • Attend and summarize meetings and hearings.
  • Maintain policy databases and tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with team members on policy projects.
  • Conduct outreach to stakeholders and partners.
  • Prepare materials for policy events and initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to the policy team.
  • Assist in the development of policy recommendations.
  • Review and analyze policy-related documents.
  • Support the organization's policy goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of policy reports.
  • Assist in the coordination of policy-related events.
  • Participate in policy-related trainings and workshops.
  • Conduct policy-related data analysis.
  • Support the organization's policy advocacy efforts.
  • Assist in the development of policy proposals.
  • Conduct policy-related outreach and engagement.
