Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is hiring a strategic Program Manager to lead investigations into areas with ambiguous requirements, define scope, and execute initiatives using PMO principles to improve organizational performance. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across Partner and Product Management, Purchasing, Operations, IT, Finance, and Sales to understand and prioritize key initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Formulate strategy, plans, and measurable objectives for programs and projects.
- Identify and drive demonstrable improvement of Key Process Indicators (KPIs) versus baseline measurements developed as part of each project effort.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure timely completion of program and project initiatives.
- Ensure that 100% of all tasks are resolved within appropriate time constraints through proper task management.
- Provide weekly status reports depicting service engagements, resource utilization, project status, risks, issue mitigation, and portfolio status.
- Maintain effective project communications with multiple stakeholders, teams, and executive management.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience in program/project management, process engineering, or strategy within a technology or operations environment.
- Experience leading a portfolio of programs, multiple projects, and teams.
- Ability to take ambiguous requirements, conduct investigations, and develop strategy.
- Problem-solving skills to identify risks and develop actionable mitigation plans.
- Highly analytical with experience in using objective data to drive strategic recommendations.
- Ability to concisely explain complex issues, communicate well in writing and verbally, and build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand why/how things work.
- Knowledge of and experience using Project Management Software.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- MBA.
- PMP, ITIL, or equivalent Certification.
