Aecon Group Inc. is hiring a Yard Foreperson to join our Foundations team. Reporting to the General Superintendent, Foundations, you will be responsible for the support and oversight of yard operations and active participation in our EHS programs.
What You'll Do
- Supervise all activities and maintain the organization of the Scugog, Ontario Yard.
- Work with onsite project teams and the Tooling and Equipment Coordinator for tracking, transfers, and repairs of drill tooling, casing, and accessories.
- Assist with documenting tooling and casing transfers between projects and yards, including pre-ship and arrival condition inspections.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments at the Scugog Yard and assist with setup and maintenance, including sea cans, inventory, and consumables.
- Operate a loader to load and offload trucks of tooling and piling items, secure loads as per procedure, and keep the yard organized and maintained.
- Travel to other projects throughout Ontario as required.
- Participate in the site EHS program as directed, including conducting workplace and safety inspections, behavioral observations, and distributing safety materials.
- Ensure EHS safety practices and procedures, such as daily safety documents, are observed and followed.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of construction industry experience.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment and competency to operate loaders and skid steers.
- Ability to complete equipment inspections prior to operating yard equipment.
- Experience assisting with loading and unloading drill tools, casing materials, and equipment in a safe manner.
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license.

- Piling experience is considered an asset.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position based at our Scugog, Ontario yard, with required travel to other project sites throughout the province.
