About the Role

RSM is hiring a Workday Systems Manager, Talent and Performance, to join our HR Technology team. This pivotal role serves as a key subject matter expert and solution architect, connecting HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) with the technology team to achieve strategic HR objectives through Workday configuration, project leadership, and change management.

What You'll Do

  • Operate as a player/coach, balancing leadership and individual contributor responsibilities.
  • Initiate and lead conversations with teams and stakeholders to build trust and navigate cross-border or diverse team complexities.
  • Act as a strategic design thinker, representing RSM as a Workday Design Partner to influence and test Workday design.
  • Apply technical Workday knowledge to anticipate stakeholder needs within COE partnership areas.
  • Prioritize large-scale COE-Workday projects aligned to HR strategy, including ad hoc requests, defects, reports, and security tickets.
  • Optimize configuration and ensure smooth operation of Workday within assigned modules, analyzing for gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Provide clear documentation of functional requirements, create project plans, manage testing, and lead organizational change initiatives.
  • Review upcoming Workday release functionality to identify and implement new features that add efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Extensive experience in one or more HR subject areas such as Performance, Talent, Compensation, Time and Attendance, or Core HR.
  • Proven experience in Workday system configuration, at least at a Functional Admin level.
  • Experience solving configuration and integration issues through root-cause analysis and independent testing.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements to technical language and vice versa.
  • Ability to think globally about process impact while managing relevant detail.
  • Proven drive, ownership, accountability, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strong 'storytelling' skills with ability to demonstrate, influence, and negotiate.
  • Resourcefulness and a knack for navigating challenges independently.
  • Ability to handle conflict and difficult partners, strong prioritization skills, and excellent customer-service orientation.
