Role Overview
As the Assistant Facilities Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of facilities across several states, focusing on both urgent repairs and planned improvement initiatives. Working closely with external vendors, you'll oversee project delivery from planning through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, safety standards, and financial guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, set priorities, and manage execution based on operational needs, safety requirements, and budget timelines.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within approved costs, coordinating closely with vendor partners and internal teams.
- Verify the quality of completed work and maintain accurate documentation in the project management system.
- Act as the main contact for project inquiries, providing regular updates to stakeholders across departments.
- Support annual budgeting and capital planning by applying consistent standards to ensure value-driven investments.
- Enforce vendor accountability to agreed-upon scopes, specifications, and performance expectations.
- Stage planned projects within appropriate budget cycles to support approval and vendor selection.
- Monitor vendor performance, evaluating responsiveness, work quality, and compliance with safety and company standards.
- Track work orders, service requests, and project activities, generating reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Respond promptly to service issues or concerns, resolving them professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with emergency response coordination when urgent facility repairs are needed.
