Drives pre-sales technical strategy and solution design for professional and managed services within the Public Sector (FED/SLED). Responsible for developing Statements of Work, pricing estimates, and aligning with sales and technical teams to secure service contracts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales, solution engineers, and architects to uncover revenue, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Analyze and address complex professional service requirements through tailored solutions.
- Design service offerings and cost estimates using internal capabilities and partner ecosystems.
- Deliver clear and compelling presentations of technical solutions to customers and internal leadership.
- Maintain strong communication across teams, management, and stakeholders.
- Author Statements of Work and Rough Order of Magnitude pricing proposals with accuracy and completeness.
- Partner with sales and account teams to define and refine potential business opportunities.
- Engage directly with current and prospective clients to present service capabilities and solution approaches.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments such as Marketing, Legal, Contracts, Engineering, and Billing as needed.
- Support sales teams through regular participation in meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Develop reusable documentation and knowledge assets for the services organization.
- Provide consistent pre-sales technical support and ensure positive customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain up-to-date records in data systems to track proposals and service development progress.
Requirements
- Exceptional English communication and writing skills, with daily experience drafting Supplier and Customer Statements of Work.
- At least 10 years of progressive professional experience, including 3 to 5 years in consulting, business development, technical management, or operations.
- Proven background in the Public Sector, specifically FED/SLED environments.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to meet federal engagement requirements.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a solution engineer in the IT industry.
- Skilled at quickly analyzing RFPs and translating requirements into actionable solutions and Statements of Work.
- Capable of gathering customer needs remotely and leading solution development discussions.
- Experienced in presenting technical solutions to diverse customer audiences.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce for opportunity tracking and management.
- Strong planning, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptable to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and a continuous flow of incoming opportunities.
- Skilled at managing multiple concurrent projects and excelling in multitasking scenarios.
- Detail-focused in solution design and SOW development, following the SMART framework.
- Uses a consultative approach to probe and fully understand customer needs.
