About the Role

Colac Area Health is looking for a Ward Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will deliver consumer-focused administrative support and efficient clerical assistance to the multidisciplinary team to ensure equity of access throughout the resident's journey in the facility.

What You'll Do

  • Provide confidential clerical and reception services in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Deliver professional, courteous and consumer-focused customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and accurate documentation to meet legal and organisational standards.
  • Coordinate clinical roster coverage, including arranging staff for planned and unplanned leave.
  • Perform general administration duties including data entry, filing, mail processing and maintaining office supplies.
  • Support effective communication within a multidisciplinary team while escalating and resolving administrative issues as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, consumer-focused administrative environment.
  • Proven administrative/clerical experience with strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • High level computer literacy with the ability to learn specialised systems and programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts and meet compliance requirements, including a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and no Aged Care banning order.

You will be working in a supportive, multidisciplinary team within Victoria’s largest regional health service.
