Directive Consulting is hiring a Vice President of Demand Generation to lead the Startups Division at our B2B performance marketing agency. You will serve as the strategic and operational lead for the department, managing a high-velocity portfolio of startup clients and guiding a cross-functional team to deliver measurable results, primarily in Paid Media.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of about 20 digital marketers across Paid Media, SEO, and CRO.
- Develop Associate Directors into strong people managers and client leaders.
- Own key KPIs across client retention, NRR, campaign performance, and team engagement.
- Act as executive sponsor for top-tier accounts, driving alignment in ABRs, renewals, and escalations.
- Shape the strategic direction of the Startups division, including forecasting, hiring, budgeting, and margin management.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales and other service lines to fuel new business, upsells, cross-sells, and client success.
- Own department planning and growth, including budgeting, capacity, and hiring.
What We're Looking For
- 7–10+ years leading client-facing performance marketing teams in an agency environment.
- Deep B2B and SaaS expertise.
- Proven success managing fast-paced, high-volume accounts, including Director oversight of 30+ clients.
- Experience coaching and developing managers and senior ICs.
- Fluent enough to audit paid media platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn, and review sites like G2/Capterra.
- Working knowledge of SEO and CRO.
- Strong executive presence and composure for C-level meetings and high-pressure conversations.
- Comfort with KPI tracking, reporting, and making decisions that drive results.
- Natural communicator who brings clarity to ambiguity.
- A reputation for follow-through, reliability, and doing what you say you’ll do.
Nice to Have
- Experience speaking, publishing, or mentoring in the B2B/SaaS marketing space.
- Familiarity with RevOps concepts, lifecycle metrics (like LTV:CAC), or client onboarding frameworks.

You will lead the Demand Generation department for the Startups Division, managing Associate Directors and Demand Generation Managers. You will report to the COO and oversee a team of about 20 digital marketers.
