What You'll Do
As a District Sales Manager, you'll oversee sales operations across the West NY territory, operating remotely with a strong emphasis on field presence. You'll partner directly with distributors to improve performance, increase route averages, and execute annual operating plans. Expect to spend several days each week conducting ride-alongs to coach and support distributor teams, ensuring best practices are followed and opportunities for growth are identified.
You'll conduct Field Excellence Meetings on a regular schedule—six times per year—to align goals and reinforce standards across the district. A key part of your role includes recruiting and onboarding new franchisees, which involves delivering two-week training programs, setting up new distributor trucks, and performing route surveys. This includes physical tasks such as lifting product totes and moving toolboxes during demonstrations.
You'll also participate in student technician events to build brand presence and support long-term distributor pipelines. Additional responsibilities include managing credit adjustments, supporting new business launches, and revisiting routes as directed by leadership for ongoing development.
Requirements
You bring a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in field or route-based sales, including two years managing sales professionals. Prior experience in the mobile tool or automotive repair industry is essential, as is familiarity with the local market dynamics. You must have a proven track record in recruiting and developing independent business operators.
Experience owning or managing a small business—or coaching those who do—is highly valued. You should be comfortable mentoring others and guiding business performance. Physically, the role requires lifting over 10 pounds regularly, as well as bending, pushing, and pulling during product demonstrations and truck setups.
Benefits
This position includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. You'll have access to a 401(k) plan with company matching, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and paid time off that includes vacation, personal days, and holidays. Additional benefits include tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, and discounts on tools from the parent company as well as partner vendors.
Work Environment
This is a remote role based in West NY, with approximately 80% local travel required. You’ll need reliable transportation and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with regional leadership. Occasional travel for training or special events may be required.
