As the Manager, Fund Accounting – Private Equity, you will oversee client engagements and lead a team responsible for accounting operations across private equity and alternative investment funds. You will manage end-to-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all client portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct client relationships and coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop and supervise accounting work plans, tracking progress and maintaining accountability across engagements.
- Lead, mentor, and support fund accounting staff, contributing to their professional growth and performance.
- Handle complex fund structures, overseeing month-end and quarter-end close procedures with precision.
- Review investor allocation calculations and confirm alignment with fund agreements and accounting standards.
- Verify accurate processing of fees and distributions within the accounting system.
- Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and serve as the primary liaison during audits.
- Analyze fund offering documents to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and implement scalable solutions across client operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- At least three years of experience supervising accounting teams.
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP, particularly as applied to fund accounting.
- Experience in fund administration or audit services for private equity or alternative investment funds is highly desirable.
