Ripple is hiring a Vice President, Corporate Development to lead the team responsible for deploying capital to accelerate the company's growth. You will execute a global strategy through high-impact partnerships, investments, and acquisitions to shape the future of the digital asset ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Develop unique perspectives on key categories within the crypto ecosystem; curate research and market intelligence to identify critical shifts and communicate strategic implications.
- Engage with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to qualify opportunities and refine strategic areas of interest.
- Develop perspectives on key competitors to inform broader business strategy.
- Lead the execution of acquisitions and investments by defining business needs, mapping market landscapes, engaging prospects, and developing robust business cases.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, and People teams to drive due diligence and ensure seamless post-deal integration.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the global community of blockchain entrepreneurs and investors to source new opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to forge alliances that promote core product and service offerings.
- Develop internal processes and artifacts, including data-driven backtesting of acquisition performance.
- Perform ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative analyses for planning strategy, investing, and integration efforts.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Corporate Finance.
- Proven track record of proactive relationship building and nurturing a robust external network of founders, CEOs, and key industry players.
- Proven experience managing multiple complex deals simultaneously through all phases.
- A background in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.
- Mastery of financial modeling, including three-statement analysis, valuation, and market data models.
- Comfort operating in 'white space' with the ability to architect creative deal structures.
- A sophisticated understanding of both blockchain technology and traditional financial services.
- Exceptional intellectual rigor, high attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative communication style.
