As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as a technical advisor, translating customer business challenges into effective, scalable solutions. You’ll work closely with sales teams and clients to assess requirements, design system architectures, and guide technical decision-making across networking, security, collaboration, and observability domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions with IT leaders and business stakeholders to identify needs and align them with appropriate solutions
- Analyze customer environments and market trends to recommend competitive, future-ready architectures
- Design and present customized demonstrations that reflect real-world use cases and business outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure seamless delivery and adoption of solutions
- Guide opportunities through the technical sales cycle, from discovery to implementation planning
- Identify expansion potential across product lines and support cross-selling initiatives
- Stay current with industry developments and competitor offerings to strengthen customer positioning
- Contribute to training materials and share best practices across technical teams
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of relevant experience, a Master’s with three years, or a PhD with no required experience. Preferred qualifications vary by team and may include specialized technical or industry knowledge.
Work Environment
This hybrid role is based in McLean, VA; Dallas, TX; or Boulder, CO. Work may require coordination across time zones and occasional travel. The position does not support fully remote arrangements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary range: $163,800–$206,800 (U.S./Canada); higher ranges apply in high-cost regions
