This role is for an experienced engineer to lead technical delivery across marine projects in the liquefied natural gas, liquid hydrogen, and industrial gas sectors. You will take ownership of engineering decisions, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards while aligning with project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate project requirements to ensure clarity and alignment across teams
- Monitor project risks and implement timely corrective actions to maintain progress
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to coordinate efforts, meet deadlines, and fulfill client expectations
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and technical excellence
- Establish and track KPIs to measure project and team performance
- Translate strategic objectives into executable engineering plans
- Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries, maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality assurance protocols, and compliance requirements
- Support employee development through feedback, coaching, and participation in performance discussions
- Stay current with evolving technologies and industry standards to promote innovation
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
- Minimum of five years’ experience in marine engineering with a history of delivering complex technical projects
- Proven leadership ability with experience guiding technical teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with engineering regulations, standards, and emerging trends in the marine and energy sectors
Work Environment
This is an onsite position based in a professional office setting. Regular use of standard office equipment is expected. There is no remote work option available for this role.
Development & Exposure
The role includes opportunities for international travel during the first year, with visits to locations such as Korea, China, and the United States. These assignments support hands-on learning, exposure to diverse operations, and onshore and at-sea experience.
