The Remote Content Marketing Strategist will manage a portfolio of 20-25 mid-to-large clients, developing and implementing content marketing strategies focused on SEO, social engagement, and lead generation. The role emphasizes achieving strong return on investment and maintaining long-term client relationships through strategic planning, data analysis, and cross-team coordination.
Responsibilities
- Oversee client accounts and cultivate trusted relationships
- Gain in-depth understanding of client businesses to align content initiatives with strategic goals
- Advise on and develop comprehensive, multi-channel content marketing strategies
- Conduct research, analyze data, and deliver statistical performance reports
- Support revenue retention and drive organic growth within assigned client portfolios
- Propose new strategies and draft statements of work that reflect client objectives
- Coordinate with internal content teams including editorial, design, video, and social media
- Partner with web integration specialists to implement marketing strategies
- Oversee project execution across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Provide ROI-focused reporting and monitor performance relative to client goals
- Attend required quarterly in-person meet-ups
- Travel to client locations when necessary for face-to-face meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven account management experience
- Demonstrated expertise in current content marketing and SEO strategy trends
- Solid understanding of effective content strategy components
- Ability to present content following UX best practices
- Exceptional communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail
