Lead the development and execution of advanced 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations for critical hydraulic infrastructure, including spillways, energy dissipation systems, and intake/outlet works. You will play a central role in analysing complex flow behaviours such as turbulence, transient effects, cavitation risk, air entrainment, and water-hammer phenomena to ensure robust and efficient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct full-cycle CFD modelling projects from setup to validation, delivering actionable insights for design improvement
- Combine numerical simulations with physical model data to calibrate and verify results, enhancing predictive accuracy
- Produce clear technical reports, visualisations, and presentations for diverse audiences, including non-specialist stakeholders
- Act as a recognised expert in hydraulic CFD within the team, ensuring adherence to quality standards and industry best practices
- Support project scoping, cost estimation, and proposal development for CFD-related services
- Supervise and develop junior modellers, promoting technical excellence and knowledge transfer
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align modelling efforts with project timelines and objectives
- Conduct site visits when needed for data collection, surveys, or model validation
