Ford Motor Company is looking for a UX Designer to focus on the Ford Pro fleet management administration ecosystem. In this role, you will collaborate with user research, analyze commercial user needs, and design solutions that balance business goals with user experience.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with user research activities tailored to commercial users and the Omni UXR team.
- Make recommendations based on heuristic evaluation and data findings from user testing and performance metrics.
- Analyze user needs, behaviors, and pain points within the Ford Pro fleet management administration ecosystem.
- Create and communicate business and user value for design in both structural and interface terms.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to evaluate and design according to product requirements and business goals.
- Lead or participate in ideation sessions to brainstorm potential solutions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes (low to high fidelity) for all administrative functions within Ford Pro and its related XaaS offerings.
- Design through decision trees, mind maps, and flow diagrams first, applying those to Figma UI representations.
- Ensure designs are consistent with Ford's design system and common patterns.
- Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Software Engineers, UI Designers, User Researchers, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate design rationale, decisions, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies if the team follows an agile methodology.
- Create usable and easy to understand design specifications and documentation for engineering teams.
- Contribute to and utilize the team's design system and pattern libraries.
- Domestic travel required up to 10%.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Fine Arts or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- 3 years of experience with user flow creation based on product requirements, user data, and observed behaviors from instrumented pages/experiences.
- 3 years of experience applying Business requirements in UX design directly addressing value for the company.
- 1 year of experience with Agile practices and SCRUM processes to enable better engagement with delivery and product teams.
- 1 year of experience with Figma UI layouts and prototypes for delivery to engineering and ability to clearly communicate needs and UX best practices.
- 1 year of experience with Figma prototyping exclusive to user testing, directed at end users for validation of usability and features.
- 1 year of experience using Miro for strategy, tactics, flows, planning, discovery, and organization; transforming presentations into actionable assets.
