Accenture Federal Services is hiring a Cleared Design Engineer to transform innovative concepts into tangible realities. You will apply engineering principles and advanced CAD software to create functional, efficient, and manufacturable solutions for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Create and manage detailed design documentation.
- Collaborate with clients, product managers, and other engineers to understand design requirements and specifications.
- Research and analyze technical data, customer needs, and market trends to inform design decisions.
- Develop innovative and practical design concepts and solutions using engineering principles.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses (e.g., stress, load, thermal) to ensure design feasibility and performance.
- Develop and test prototypes to evaluate design functionality and identify areas for improvement.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements, cost, and performance.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Conduct design reviews with stakeholders and incorporate feedback into the design process.
- Analyze and resolve design-related issues and provide technical support during the product lifecycle.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Continuously research and evaluate new design technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Contribute to the improvement of design processes and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Experience with data visualization and/or dashboards.
- Experience with Storyboards or Wireframes.
- Experience with User Experience (UX), User Research or Persona Creation.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
