HubSpot is looking for a Staff Design Technologist who is both strategic and hands-on to build AI-augmented tools and workflows that transform how our UX team works. You'll unlock the potential of our team of 250+ designers and researchers, driving improvements in quality, speed, and customer impact.
What You'll Do
- Champion AI-unlocked creativity by building seamless AI-powered tools that solve real workflow friction and augment human creativity.
- Drive AI transformation by defining the technical strategy for empowering our UX disciplines and workflows.
- Ship AI tools by prototyping, testing, and deploying full-stack applications and plugins that solve real problems for designers.
- Model technical craft by setting a high standard for internal tool quality, user adoption, and workflow transformation.
- Build for workflow integration by partnering closely with Design, Research, Ops, and Engineering in our collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Elevate AI fluency by modeling technical curiosity and AI integration thinking throughout the UX organization.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive design, UX engineering, design technologist, and/or full-stack development experience.
- Strong full-stack development experience with modern web technologies and production AI API integrations.
- Direct experience building AI-powered applications.
- Demonstrated understanding of AI concepts, applications, integration patterns, and major AI APIs.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI development tools, including integrating large language models (LLMs) and generative AI services.
- Fluency in design workflows and an ability to translate workflow needs into technical solutions.
- Experience with technical transformation and tool adoption initiatives, including driving organizational change.
- Experience driving continuous technical improvement, both in personal craft and team capability building.
- Experience architecting AI-augmented workflows and identifying creative, scalable technical solutions.
- Clear, compelling technical communication skills and comfort influencing technical decisions with non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven collaboration across design, engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders at all levels.
