The Architectural Technologist will serve as the technical engine behind Cove Living's Design Team, translating conceptual designs into detailed Revit models and leveraging AI technology to optimize space planning and streamline workflows for flexible living spaces across the APAC region.
Responsibilities
- Translate conceptual designs and 2D sketches into detailed LOD 300/400 Revit models for interior fit-outs, including MEP coordination and joinery details.
- Utilize AI-powered Revit plugins and generative design tools (e.g., Veras, TestFit, Hypar, or proprietary scripts) to automate rapid feasibility studies, space planning, and 'test-fits' for new potential properties.
- Generate accurate documentation sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.
- Maintain and update the Cove BIM Library/Family to ensure brand consistency across thousands of rooms.
- Produce quick, AI-enhanced renders and 3D visualizations to assist stakeholders in decision-making during the early design stages.
- Run clash detection reports to identify design conflicts early and ensure all models adhere to Singapore BIM standards and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously research and implement new AI tools or Dynamo scripts to automate repetitive drafting tasks, tagging, and room data sheet generation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in Interior Design or Architecture
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing, joinery, and local building codes (BCA standards)
- Competency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience or strong familiarity with AI tools for architecture (e.g., Midjourney for mood boarding, Veras/EvolveLab for rendering)
- Experience with visual programming (Dynamo or Grasshopper)
