About the Role

GFIC is hiring a USA Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales and growth strategy in the modified food starches market. This home-based role is central to expanding our presence across the United States by building strong customer relationships and developing strategic plans.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage sales activities across the USA region, with a focus on growing presence in the modified food starches market.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and positioning solutions to meet their demands.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within targeted market segments, collaborating with R&D and technical teams.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activities, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, production, and technical support, to align goals and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Visit customers across the USA and travel occasionally to the European plant for team alignment and strategy development.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, Food Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of sales experience in the food ingredients industry, with a focus on modified food starches or related products.
  • Proven track record of customer leadership, with experience managing and growing relationships with key accounts and distributors.
  • Strong market knowledge of modified food starches and the USA food ingredients sector.
  • Medior/Senior level experience with a flexible, adaptable mindset to handle changing market dynamics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Good network with producers and distributors in the Food ingredients sector; experience with modified waxy maize is a strong plus.

Team & Environment

You will have no reports in the beginning, with the team set to grow alongside business expansion.
