As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of mid-market customers, focusing on long-term growth, retention, and satisfaction. Your primary responsibility is to deepen client relationships by identifying expansion opportunities, guiding renewals, and introducing new solutions that align with evolving business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Drive cross-sell and upsell initiatives by understanding customer goals and matching them with relevant offerings
- Lead contract renewals with a strategic, value-based approach that strengthens trust and partnership
- Develop account plans in collaboration with marketing and customer success teams to unlock growth across geographies and business units
- Establish measurable success criteria with clients and ensure both parties remain accountable to outcomes
- Engage stakeholders at multiple levels within customer organizations, from procurement to executive leadership
- Use Salesforce and Gong to manage pipelines, track interactions, and refine sales strategies
- Partner closely with Customer Success to address risks, support onboarding, and ensure value delivery
- Identify and act on signals of customer churn, implementing proactive retention strategies
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in sales or account management, ideally within a tech company serving mid-market clients
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex, relationship-driven environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders
- Self-directed and resourceful, with a track record of taking initiative in remote settings
- Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce and a comfort level learning new technologies quickly
- Based in North America, with availability to overlap with team meetings on Zoom
