Role Overview
This position leads the growth of institutional accounts across the Middle East and Africa for a global provider of educational resources. As an Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of academic institutions, guiding them in adopting print and digital learning solutions. The focus is on strategic account development, consultative engagement, and long-term revenue growth within higher education.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceed annual sales targets by promoting Wiley’s front-list and digital course materials across assigned territories
- Develop trusted relationships with universities, resellers, and new prospects to expand product adoption and secure renewals
- Create and implement territory-specific sales strategies, including pipeline management, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Present tailored proposals, negotiate terms, and close both new and renewal deals effectively
- Act as a commercial representative for the company’s portfolio, aligning product offerings with institutional needs
- Collect and share customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence to guide internal strategy
- Work closely with marketing, digital, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- 3–5 years of proven success in sales, particularly within educational publishing or academic markets
- Experience meeting or exceeding sales targets using a relationship-driven approach
- Familiarity with higher education institutions and digital learning formats
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and strong command of written and spoken English
- Highly organized with strong initiative and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region
Preferred Skills
- Fluency in Arabic or Russian is an advantage
