Trane Technologies is seeking a Unitary Leader India to drive our business forward. You will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of the unitary department, overseeing sales for all unitary products and directly accountable for achieving booking and revenue targets. As a member of the Regional Leadership Team, you will collaborate to develop and execute the overall sales strategy for Unitary VRF and Ductable products.
What You'll Do
- Manage customer and regional sales, including new customer acquisition, satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, account penetration, and customer retention.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of sales associates, including skills assessment, training, goal setting, forecasting, and ensuring consistent use of sales tools.
- Manage ongoing performance by coaching Sales Managers on project attainment, customer service, relationship development, and business profitability.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and communicating effectively with customers and the sales team.
- Expand the new customer base, establish sales activities, and forecast and report on bookings, revenue, conversion rates, and pipeline maintenance.
- Develop a deep understanding of the competition, utilities, builders, and dealers.
- Create contingency plans for changing market conditions.
- Ensure safety performance and compliance at all levels.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of sales experience in HVAC products or a related industry, with substantial experience in a sales leadership role.
- Ability to foresee market trends, analyze industry dynamics, develop practical strategies, and anticipate emerging issues impacting revenue and profit.
- Strong knowledge of Trane HVAC products and competitor offerings.
- Demonstrated experience leading and supporting regional business initiatives.
- Experience driving aligned actions through groups that do not directly report to you.
- Product management skills, including the ability to lead project planning, implementation, and evaluation, and serve as a consultant for internal and external customers.
- A proactive, builder-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and contribute.
- Capable of working effectively as a team player or independently.
- Strong communication skills with fluent English in speaking and writing.
- Highly motivated, reliable, and a self-starter.
- Must have the flexibility to travel to locations across India as required.
Team & Environment
You will lead a team of Outside Sales & Design professionals. As a member of the Regional Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with Sales Managers and Account Managers from other product streams and work with Sales Offices throughout the country.
