HDI Group is looking for an Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will underwrite national and international risks within defined authorities, oversee portfolio management, and develop innovative insurance solutions for our clients.

What You'll Do

Underwrite national and international risks within your defined authority.
Conduct risk assessment, calculate premiums, and prepare quotations.
Manage and support the portfolio for assigned clients and distribution partners.
Implement underwriting strategy and execute portfolio measures.
Manage and steer national and international insurance programs.
Analyze, monitor, and control your assigned portfolio.
Develop individual insurance solutions and coverage concepts.
Expand and maintain relationships, conducting negotiations and annual reviews with distribution partners and clients.

What We're Looking For

A completed university degree in insurance, business, law, or engineering, OR completed training as an insurance and finance clerk with relevant further education (e.g., certified insurance specialist) or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
Longstanding knowledge of the national and international industrial liability insurance market.
Strong organizational skills and an independent, responsible way of working.
High sales orientation paired with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Persuasiveness and a confident demeanor towards clients and distribution partners.
Very good German and advanced English language skills.
A willingness to travel.
