Puget Sound Energy is hiring a Transmission Settlement Analyst

Puget Sound Energy is looking for a Transmission Settlement Analyst to maintain, analyze, and report on settlement data critical to our transmission operations and market participation. This role supports our Clean Energy Strategy by performing financial and operational studies in a dynamic regulatory environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist with transmission settlements analysis and billing.
• Perform settlement quality meter data analysis.
• Review impacts of PSE OATT and departmental business procedures.
• Prepare FERC and regulatory reporting for supervisor review, approval, or signature.
• Ensure compliance with FERC/NERC procedures.
• Develop and prepare complex ad hoc reporting and data analysis.
• Act as a customer interface and liaison, assuring customer compliance with business requirements.
• Provide recommendations for system and process improvement and automation.
• Interact with PSE accounting and financial departments as needed.
• Support CAISO Western Energy Imbalance Market settlement quality meter data.
• Review and update reported PSE and third-party meter data for accuracy and quality.
• Submit required settlement quality meter data to the market operator at required intervals.
• Work with Meter and Operations staff to maintain reported meter data accuracy.
• Support EIM Settlements and Transmission Billing as needed.
• Work with internal and external IT professionals to develop new features and ensure the accuracy of software tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in accounting or data analysis.
• Knowledge and familiarity with basic business office software.
• Ability to maintain attention while performing detailed routine tasks.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in the electric industry and/or organized markets.
• Knowledge of the OATI software platform, PCI, or SAP.
• Knowledge of FERC, NERC, NAESB, or WECC regulations.
