Societe Generale is hiring a Senior Analyst within its Corporate & Investment Banking division. This role focuses on delivering operational excellence in syndicated loan servicing, requiring strong client and stakeholder management skills and expertise in processing loan activities through Loan IQ.
What You'll Do
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships, providing quick issue resolution and building synergy with cross-functional units.
- Deliver operational excellence per benchmarks, monitor and escalate errors, and identify production efficiencies.
- Process and validate Deals, Facilities, and Outstanding positions in Loan IQ.
- Review credit agreements to reconcile terms and conditions with deal structure.
- Handle all Loan Servicing activities, including processing loan participations such as new borrowings, increases, rollovers, pay-downs, and commitment reductions.
- Manage daily transfer of loan proceeds, receipt of funds, and matching incoming cash.
- Process and validate Interest and Fee billing for direct and Agented Loans, bill customers, and send pro-rata shares to participants.
- Process notices for breakage fee activity, following up with traders on rates.
- Validate and send notices of activities to all participants and customers for loan confirmation.
- Handle Swift Payments and review reconciliation of positions and discrepancies in Interest and fee payments.
- Prepare and post manual General Ledger entries as required.
- Review system-generated reports to monitor facilities, investigating past due items, suspense, receivables, and expiring SBLC.
- Ensure all process requirements are fully documented and signed-off by stakeholders periodically.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Guide the team on complex production issues and effectively manage Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
What We're Looking For
- A strong academic background.
- Strong understanding of syndicated and bi-lateral financing and the full loan life cycle, from deal origination and transaction management to secondary trading, amendment/restructures, and regulatory reporting.
- Knowledge of Basel Norms and credit risk.
- Knowledge of Financial Products, especially Loans, Guarantees, and Standby Letters of Credit.
- Thorough knowledge of syndicated loan documentation.
- Full suite of Loan Servicing knowledge.
- Knowledge of Operational Risk and the ability to anticipate and manage risks.
