AECOM is seeking a Traffic or ITS Engineer to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This role will support project delivery across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest regions, focusing on traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems.
What You'll Do
- Support a team to deliver traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning and design.
- Produce plan sheets, specifications and estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
- Deliver ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process.
- Serve in various roles on traffic and ITS projects.
- Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables.
- Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation.
- Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards.
- Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants.
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
- Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position with flexibility to work remotely and from AECOM offices. The role supports teams across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest regions.
