M&T Bank is seeking a Trade Finance Process Analyst to optimize our operations and support business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing workflows, identifying improvements, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, performance, and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Perform transaction processing duties in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Drive operational performance by meeting SLAs, reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and mitigating risks.
- Ensure full compliance with all trade finance rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical support to Relationship Managers on trade finance matters.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions through data analysis, technical experience, and precedent.
- Assist team management in developing team members through guidance, coaching, and support.
- Support the roll-out of quality management systems and other Bank initiatives.
- Exercise due care on day-to-day operational matters relating to Trade Based Money Laundering, sanction compliance, and transaction screening.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A proven track record of process improvement and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with process mapping tools and techniques, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
