The Title and Closing Specialist plays a key role in managing title and closing transactions for mortgage originations. You will be responsible for reviewing title commitments, verifying clearance, and coordinating directly with borrowers and agents to confirm closing logistics, required documentation, and funding details.
Key Responsibilities
- Process title and closing orders in alignment with client guidelines and regulatory standards
- Verify accuracy of title commitments and ensure proper resolution of exceptions
- Communicate with stakeholders to confirm closing dates, locations, and documentation requirements
- Prepare and review closing documents according to state-specific rules and client instructions
- Respond to inquiries from clients, borrowers, agents, and internal teams in a timely manner
- Monitor work-in-progress reports to track task completion and meet production goals
- Process a range of title products, including title searches, deed copies, mortgage recordings, and property reports
- Support supervisors in maintaining workflow efficiency and meeting processing deadlines
- Review vendor performance data and assist with quality assurance as needed
- Generate reports and provide updates to clients when required
Qualifications
Candidates must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and effective communication skills are essential. You should be comfortable managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
Prior experience in real estate, particularly with origination title processes or title curative work, is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mortgage-related software platforms is expected.
