CAF | Trust In Motion is looking for a Software Test/Validation Engineer to validate safety-critical (SIL4) software derived from a common electronic platform for railway control and monitoring. You will join a multidisciplinary team of about 10 people, working on cutting-edge technology in transportation and mobility.
What You'll Do
- Analyze system requirements alongside the design team.
- Write test protocols, prepare environments, and execute system integration tests in the laboratory.
- Manage full traceability between requirements and tests and control changes.
- Perform results analysis and generate reports.
- Identify and report bugs and their root causes. Propose solutions with the design team and oversee/pursue error resolution.
- Focus on continuous improvement, maximum test automation, and efficiency and repeatability of tests.
- Participate in audits and security certification processes.
What We're Looking For
- Degree/Master's in Electronic, Automation, Telecommunications, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- Recommended experience of 5 years in similar roles (non-exclusive).
- Programming in C and Scripting.
- Knowledge of network protocols and communication interfaces.
- Mastery of embedded systems and RTOS (Inter-Process Communication – IPCs, familiarity with SW Development Kits -SDKs-).
Nice to Have
- Experience in Linux development (Yocto).
- Knowledge of LabVIEW.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity.
- Experience with standards EN50128/50126/50155 and Lifecycle in V.
