Thales is looking for an ATC Software Development Engineer to contribute to the development of critical software components for major Air Traffic Control programs. Based in Toulouse, France, you will work on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining functional software evolutions within a small team.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop functional evolutions and maintain software functionalities of the system.
- Define, produce, execute, and automate tests related to the developments.
- Ensure proper execution of the configuration management strategy for all software productions (code and documentation).
- Produce evidence required by Safety teams related to the component's classification level (Software Assurance Level, ED-109A Standard).
- Produce developments in compliance with the quality process deployed by the organization.
- Contribute to supporting the systems teams involved in the project.
What We're Looking For
- Bac+5 education in general computer science (engineering school, Master's degree, or equivalent).
- Skills in software design and knowledge of object-oriented languages (C++/Java).
- Interest in all components of software engineering (specifications, integration, validation).
- Knowledge of different software development processes (V-Cycle, Agile, Lean) and concepts of Software Configuration Management and associated tooled processes (devops, GIT, Jenkins...).
- Ability to innovate and propose continuous improvements on projects.
