The Toro Company is hiring a Territory Sales Manager to represent the Exmark and Spartan Mowers brands. You will be responsible for driving sales and implementing marketing initiatives across Colorado, Utah, and parts of Idaho and Wyoming to achieve market share leadership and dealer compliance.
What You'll Do
- Meet or exceed sales objectives for your assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with dealers focused on Exmark and Spartan brands to grow market share.
- Collaborate with dealer personnel to create promotional initiatives that meet annual sales goals.
- Ensure dealers stock sufficient whole goods inventory, service parts, and accessories to achieve retail objectives.
- Assist each dealer in preparing and reviewing an annual business plan quarterly.
- Conduct product and sales training for dealer personnel using Exmark University and PIG sales tools.
- Communicate and implement all Exmark and Spartan initiatives and expectations to assigned dealers.
- Communicate channel issues to management in a timely manner.
- Gather competitive information as needed.
- Facilitate, negotiate, and resolve sales channel issues involving dealers or end users.
- Represent Exmark and Spartan at trade shows, dealer functions, and training conferences.
- Provide required business and administrative reports on time using CRS or other requested means.
- Participate in scheduled quarterly reviews, business planning sessions, and other sponsored meetings.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards and operate with integrity.
- Identify and apply Lean methodologies to territory management.
What We're Looking For
- Level I TSM: High School Diploma with 2+ years relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 0+ years relevant experience.
- Level II TSM: High School Diploma with 5+ years relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 3+ years relevant experience.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and mapping software.
- A valid driver's license.
- Willingness to trailer, load, unload, and demonstrate equipment.
- A genuine enjoyment of building and cultivating long-term business relationships.
- Mechanical aptitude and orientation.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnights and some weekends (80% travel anticipated).
- Self-motivation and willingness to work long hours.
Nice to Have
- Strong industry experience with knowledge of outdoor power equipment.
- Sales experience with an understanding of the sales cycle.

This is a remote role. Candidates should be located in or near Salt Lake City, UT, or Denver, CO.
