Victaulic is looking for a self-motivated Territory Sales Manager to manage our Boston territory. In this outside sales role, you will learn our mechanical piping solutions, develop strategic business plans, and build lasting relationships to maximize sales.
What You'll Do
- Learn Victaulic's products and solutions through the company's training program.
- Understand competitive methods of joining pipe and construction industry cycles.
- Develop a business plan with your Regional Sales Manager, including opportunity mapping and sales goals.
- Execute all phases of project pursuit and management from inception to after-sale follow-up.
- Build lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
- Partner with and manage Victaulic distributors within the territory.
- Educate customers through job site demos, training, and presentations on Victaulic's value.
- Coordinate activities with other Victaulic representatives and regional market specialists.
- Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations.
What We're Looking For
- Willingness to travel, with some territories requiring overnight travel.
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision; self-motivated and self-driven.
- Professional image, confidence, and an engaging, affable personality.
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and creative thinking.
- Strong organization, time management, and project management skills.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds and work in adverse weather conditions.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree.
- Previous sales experience selling 'value added' products/services.
- Experience in commercial construction, PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products.
- Demonstrated achievements in sales and a history of developing long-standing relationships.
Team & Environment
You will report to a Regional Sales Manager and work closely with an inside sales team, engineering, and other support staff.
