Becton Dickinson (BD) is hiring a Territory Manager responsible for the West Midlands region. This commercial sales role requires delivering quarterly and annual sales targets for promoted products within BD MDS by understanding customer needs and positioning BD's solutions to meet them profitably.
What You'll Do
- Understand customer goals and drivers to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships, positioning BD as the partner of choice.
- Proactively develop and implement territory plans for sustainable, long-term sales success and review them in line with BD MDS strategy.
- Follow account management plans focusing on area growth and top-tier accounts.
- Manage account priorities to position, sell, and implement BD Added Value Services.
- Deliver BD Value Added Programmes, including training and education.
- Conduct and manage product trials and in-service processes as part of account conversion.
- Work effectively with the Regional Business Manager, regional sales team, Clinical Consultant/Specialists, and Commercial team to maximise business potential.
- Achieve standards, expectations, and performance as agreed with your manager.
- Communicate market and competitor information.
- Contribute to compelling business case development with Sales, Commercial, and Clinical teams.
What We're Looking For
- Living in the West Midlands territory.
- Experience in Healthcare sales with a demonstrable record of success.
- Highly motivated, action-oriented, an initiative taker with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Completed selling skills training course and can practically demonstrate products and their application.
- Proven track record in medical sales with strong communication skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SFDC.
- Ability to identify business opportunities in relation to growth and retention strategies.
- Adapts business style to build effective customer rapport and relationships.
- Understanding of sales data – skills to analyse and interpret sales trends for account and territory analysis and planning.
- Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritising and handling own work.
- Takes a positive team player approach.
- Has a growth mindset and a can-do attitude.
- Is committed to professional self-development and positively adopts a continuous learning approach.
Nice to Have
- Vascular Access experience.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.

- Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus
