The Patient Coordinator is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations at a trusted physical therapy practice. In this onsite role based in Scranton, PA, you'll ensure patients receive efficient, respectful service from the moment they arrive or call. You'll manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance benefits, obtain required authorizations, and assist with new patient onboarding—all while supporting clinical staff to enhance overall clinic performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and guiding them through check-in procedures
- Coordinating therapy appointments to meet patient and clinician needs
- Responding to phone inquiries with accuracy and professionalism
- Reviewing insurance coverage and securing necessary approvals
- Processing payments and maintaining financial records
- Supporting accurate patient data entry and documentation
- Collaborating with team members to uphold clinic efficiency
What You’ll Bring
You’re organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving healthcare setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office—especially Excel, Word, and Outlook—is required. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of administrative experience in a medical or therapy environment.
