Key Responsibilities
- Guide travelers with professionalism, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction throughout the journey.
- Share in-depth knowledge of local culture, history, religion, environment, and current affairs to enhance the travel experience.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of accommodations, dining options, transportation, pricing, and local attractions.
- Build and manage local networks of contacts and resources to support smooth trip operations.
- Handle logistical tasks including reservations, budget tracking, expense reporting, and itinerary management.
- Address traveler concerns promptly and effectively, adapting plans when necessary while maintaining trip integrity.
- Deliver post-trip reports and keep travel documentation updated in standard formats.
- Support new guides through training and knowledge transfer when needed.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams as required.
Qualifications
Candidates must be based in Jordan and hold a valid guiding license and First Aid/CPR certification. Fluency in English is required, with strong Arabic language skills essential for effective communication. You should have prior international experience through travel, work, or study, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Applicants should be physically fit, adaptable, and capable of managing demanding schedules. A commitment to sustainable tourism and cultural respect is fundamental. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet applications is expected. Experience with budgeting is an asset.
