Happy Money is looking for a Territory Manager - Public Entity to join our team. This fully remote role requires you to be based in the mid-west region, ideally in Indiana, where you will be responsible for managing and growing the regional book of business. You will focus on developing profitable new relationships and maintaining existing ones to drive financial results.
What You'll Do
- Identify and generate new business opportunities; develop and deliver effective presentations.
- Develop agency and producer relationships to support retention of key renewals and placement of quality new business.
- Prequalify new business submissions to ensure they are 'true' opportunities.
- Coordinate and lead prospecting and pipeline meetings with underwriting partners.
- Develop a working knowledge of competitors’ strengths and weaknesses in your territory and coordinate the use of this intel.
- Develop and implement action plans to grow the assigned territory.
- Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepare post-event reports and analysis.
- Assist in annual business planning.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 10 years of Property & Casualty Public Entity business development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and groups at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with dynamic and evolving priorities with enthusiasm.
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific methods.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
Nice to Have
- Public Entity business development or underwriting experience.
- Knowledge of the public sector (government, education) insurance buying process.
- Working knowledge and understanding of public entity insurance products and services.

Base salary is offered based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
