Role Overview
As a Territory Manager, you will lead sales efforts across the New York and New Jersey region, serving as the main liaison between the company and a network of tire dealers, wholesalers, and distributors. Your focus will be on expanding market share, strengthening dealer partnerships, and ensuring consistent brand representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned dealer accounts within the territory
- Communicate product updates, promotional programs, and company policies to dealer teams
- Resolve dealer inquiries and service issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction
- Deliver training and support to dealer staff as needed
- Track competitive activity and market trends to inform sales strategies
- Identify and pursue opportunities to onboard new distribution partners
- Monitor sales performance and meet or exceed regional targets
- Submit regular reports and participate in industry events and trade shows
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least five years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the automotive or tire industry
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently (up to 70%)
- Must currently reside in, or be open to relocating to, New York or New Jersey
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
Work Environment
This role requires regular field travel within the NY/NJ area. You’ll spend significant time visiting dealer locations, attending meetings, and representing the brand at industry events.
