Position Overview: This role drives growth in the packaging solutions portfolio across the New York, New Jersey, and Delaware markets. The specialist will focus on building relationships with end-user customers in key industries including Food & Beverage, Healthcare, and e-fulfillment, while supporting broader sales initiatives through direct field engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand relationships with both new and existing end users, with a focus on multi-site organizations requiring tailored packaging solutions.
- Partner with field and inside sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities through coordinated outreach and strategic planning.
- Set and achieve sales targets by applying effective tactics and leveraging available resources to exceed performance goals.
- Engage with decision-makers at various levels within client organizations to support sales objectives and generate qualified leads.
- Contribute to the creation of growth strategies that align with long-term business objectives and deepen market presence.
- Follow all corporate policies, including compliance with security and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
- Support a culture of safety by adhering to protocols, reporting risks, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, verified prior to employment.
- Minimum of three years of independent field sales experience managing a defined territory in any sector.
- Valid driver’s license; a company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship for a visa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business or Sales Development.
- Background in the packaging industry, particularly through distribution channels.
- Five or more years of professional field sales experience with collaboration responsibilities.
- Current employees of ISMC will receive preference in the hiring process.
Tools & Systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.com is required for daily operations and reporting.
Work Environment
This position operates in a local-country model with primary locations in Newark, NJ, Hoboken, NJ, and surrounding areas in New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. The role allows for remote work but includes up to 40% domestic travel to meet with clients and support team initiatives.
Benefits & Compensation
The base salary range is $113,752 to $139,031, with additional eligibility for variable incentive pay. The role includes a company-provided vehicle.
