Illumina is looking for a Territory Account Manager to drive commercial success across Norway. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise in molecular biology or genomics with strong sales acumen to support new and existing research customers, building trusted relationships to advance their scientific goals.
What You'll Do
- Develop high-value, long-term customer accounts through relationship-focused sales approaches.
- Build trusted partnerships with academic and industry customers, acting as a knowledgeable advisor.
- Identify new opportunities and expand Illumina’s footprint within the assigned territory.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification to deal closure.
- Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions.
- Negotiate all genetic analysis sales, including quotations and contract generation.
- Maintain healthy profit margins through effective negotiation strategies.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline across short-, medium- and long-term opportunities.
- Deliver accurate and regular sales forecasts.
- Create and execute a territory business plan aligned with regional sales objectives.
- Manage all customer, account, and opportunity information within Illumina’s CRM system.
- Leverage CRM insights to grow existing accounts and identify new leads.
- Partner closely with sales specialists, marketing, customer care, and legal to enhance customer outcomes.
- Communicate territory activities and strategies effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Complete all required product and technology training to remain an expert in Illumina solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Strong technical background in molecular biology or genomics.
- Experience in account management and Life Science or Diagnostics sales.
- Excellent negotiation, organisation, time-management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand customer objectives and navigate complex environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Norway.
- Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- MSc or PhD in Life Sciences.
- Fluent/native Norwegian and English language skills.
- Valid driving licence.
