DIFS Donaldson India Filter Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Raipur. In this role, you will be a critical technical resource, supporting Territory and Key Account Managers to solve complex filtration challenges for end customers. Your work will directly secure sales growth through solution proposals, customer training, field service execution, and product trials.
What You'll Do
- Support Territory Managers and Key Account Managers to solve complex problems related to engine filtration and clean solutions in the field.
- Secure sales growth by formulating solutions and proposals to end customers to solve their complex air and liquid filtration problems.
- Train and support distributors and end-users in product knowledge and applications to effectively market Donaldson products.
- Implement and execute field service strategy to assist the region in achieving or exceeding annual sales and profit goals.
- Support all Donaldson market initiatives, both existing and new.
- Troubleshoot at customers’ sites to determine root causes and then design and offer solutions.
- Provide continuous feedback on industry trends happening at the end customer level.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on authorized distributors to promote the Donaldson brand in the market.
- Conduct complex product trials on critical equipment to win customers’ confidence.
- Support customers with value-add activities such as extending service intervals or upgrading filtration systems.
- Work with the product management team to develop new products that meet customers’ needs.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Prior training on the mechanism of filtration and diesel engines is mandatory.
- Technically inclined with Product Engineering and Application Engineering experience in a related industry.
- Working experience related to diesel engine heavy equipment in the mining and/or construction market.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience in customizing solutions to solve specific customer maintenance or operations challenges.
- A demonstrated record of achievement in development and sales success.
- Strong sales aptitude with excellent communication and organization skills.
- Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and the ability to learn new technologies through product-driven training.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Minimum 2-3 years of technical experience in an automobile and/or engineering environment.
- Minimum 3-5 years of field sales engineering experience in a relevant field.
- Effective written and verbal skills in English are mandatory.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge and experience in air & liquid engine filtration, hydraulics, fluid power, or biodiesel.
