About the Role

Transdev is hiring a Tech-in-Charge (Lead Diesel Technician) to supervise and coordinate the activities of our diesel technician team. You’ll ensure timely and efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment, empowering the freedom to move every day.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components.
  • Coach and monitor members of the work team.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as a diesel technician with proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Compensation: $37.25 – $38.25 per hour
  • 2 weeks of vacation for new employees
  • 5 sick days and 12 holidays (8 standard and 4 floating)
