Lead Fleet Management Engineer - Generator & Electrical Systems will serve as a key technical leader within the Product Service Engineering organization, guiding global initiatives that enhance the performance and reliability of power generation assets. This position is central to diagnosing and resolving critical technical issues across the fleet, ensuring long-term operational success for customers in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical investigations from initial detection through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Deliver timely solutions to complex generator and electrical system challenges impacting customer operations
- Ensure component designs align with customer specifications and performance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and design engineering
- Support new product introductions and service fulfillment programs
- Communicate technical progress and findings to stakeholders at all levels, from field personnel to executive management
- Represent engineering expertise at industry events, customer forums, and technical conferences
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability development
- Travel to customer sites to lead technical reviews and present engineering recommendations
- Provide urgent support during unplanned outages to maintain system availability
- Assist commercial teams with technical inputs for proposals and service offerings
- Develop and publish technical communications, safety alerts, and knowledge documentation
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related discipline, with at least five years of experience in generator systems or electrical engineering. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10–15%) on short notice is required, along with availability for off-hours support during critical events.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering or an MBA, Six Sigma or Lean training, and demonstrated success managing multiple technical projects. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities are essential. Experience in customer-facing roles, project management, and driving organizational change through data-informed decisions is highly valued.
Work Environment

Compensation
Base salary ranges between $98,400 and $164,000, with potential for geographic adjustment based on location. A discretionary annual bonus is included. Equity compensation is not part of this offer.
