Accounting at Brex
Our tax function operates within the Accounting team, generating precise financial insights to drive strategic business decisions. We transcend traditional financial reporting by proactively automating processes, collaborating across departments, and serving as product innovation pioneers.
Role Responsibilities
As Tax Director, you'll comprehensively manage our global tax operations, ensuring compliance, strategic optimization, and executive-level advisory. You'll navigate complex tax landscapes, develop scalable operational frameworks, and support organizational growth through innovative tax strategies. This position demands cross-functional collaboration, creative problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.
Work Environment
Based in San Francisco, New York, or Salt Lake City, this role embraces a hybrid work model. Currently, we require two in-office days weekly (Wednesday/Thursday), transitioning to three days in 2026 (Monday/Wednesday/Thursday). Employees enjoy up to four weeks of remote work annually.

Requirements
- 10+ years extensive tax experience

- Advanced Microsoft Office expertise
Preferred Qualifications

Compensation
Salary range: $207,920 - $246,905, determined by location, skills, experience, and internal pay considerations. Potential equity and supplementary compensation may be offered.
