Deel is looking for a Tax Analyst to contribute to our global tax function by analyzing complex data and supporting compliance and reporting efforts. You'll help drive strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You'll Do
- Extract, analyze, and visualize tax-related data to support global compliance, planning, and reporting.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports that track key tax metrics and trends.
- Build forward-looking tax forecast models to support strategic business decisions.
- Automate data flows and reporting processes to ensure speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with tax policies globally.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Product teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Translate complex tax data into compelling narratives to support decision-making at the leadership level.
- Contribute to global tax planning and reporting initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
- Monitor evolving tax regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline tax data workflows and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop scalable analytics frameworks to support long-term tax planning and compliance needs.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a tax, accounting, or financial analysis role.
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
- Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proven ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable presenting data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating across different geographies, time zones, and regulatory environments.
- Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degrees (JD, MBA, or Master’s in Taxation) are a strong plus.
- Experience with global tax compliance is highly desirable.
- Experience with BI or data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Familiarity with tax technology tools, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), and financial databases.
- Familiarity with international tax concepts and reporting standards.
