Nokia is hiring a Supply Chain Program Manager to support the New Product Introduction (NPI) of Optical System products. In this role, you will manage partners and vendors across Southeast and South Asia, ensuring products move from engineering concept to successful mass production within the telecom/high-tech industry.
What You'll Do
- Program manage Nokia contract manufacturers and OEM vendors for new product introduction and volume ramp.
- Manage and communicate NPI build schedules with Contract Manufacturing partners, Engineering, Suppliers, and Operations teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement to complete projects per Milestone schedules.
- Represent Supply Chain Program Management with organizations like R&D, PLM, Procurement, Product Engineering, EMS Management, and Logistics.
- Serve as first-level escalation point to resolve delivery issues for Proto/Pilot and Production ramp due to material, labor, capacity, and technical problems.
- Assure Lifecycle Gate deliverables are completed on time and update various trackers and checklists.
- Drive ongoing product cost analysis and cost reduction projects to support product cost targets.
- Drive BOM reviews and pursue Supply Chain risk mitigation strategies via second sourcing, buffer stock proposals, and Long Lead Item procurement.
- Prepare and present relevant content for product life cycle milestone reviews, approvals, and sync-up meetings.
- Stabilize manufacturing processes post-Pilot run; drive projects to improve yield and reduce labor/routing time.
- Resolve operational issues from prototype and pilot runs in cross-functional teams.
- Ensure DFx (Design for Cost, Quality, Manufacturing, Services) activities achieve 100% resolution of manufacturing issues.
- Ensure all change activity (ECN, variances, deviations, Special Build Requests) is implemented accurately to support the program schedule.
- Drive manufacturing readiness reviews across Engineering and Operations functions.
- Lead project plans related to 'Product Transfers' between different EMS partners or from internal factory to EMS partner.
- Handle special projects assigned by Management.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years experience.
- Preferred education majors in Engineering, Supply Chain / Business Operations, or Management; others considered with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing roles in NPI for Optical/Electro-mechanical Hardware products following a structured phase gate process.
- Knowledge of Project planning, Engineering drawings, BOM & Change management in PDM software, Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, MRP, Purchasing, and Product costing.
- Advanced understanding of electronic and optical manufacturing processes and a general understanding of test processes, components, and Telecommunication systems.
- Understanding of Quality Management Requirements (TL9000, ISO9000) applicable to Manufacturing & Compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to be present near our NPI factory.
