Role Overview
This position is for a Subject Matter Expert supporting Thinkful’s online education programs. You'll work with adult learners across different formats and time shifts, helping them build technical and professional skills through structured feedback, project evaluation, and real-time coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate student project submissions and provide detailed, constructive written feedback aligned with curriculum goals
- Offer technical guidance via text and video, responding promptly to student questions and supporting immersive program learners as a teaching assistant
- Meet performance benchmarks tied to student support and service level expectations
- Stay current with both industry trends and internal course content to ensure accurate, relevant support
- Answer student inquiries with clarity and empathy, adapting explanations to diverse learning needs
- Contribute to curriculum quality by identifying and reporting issues, suggesting improvements, and assisting with maintenance tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in one or more of Thinkful’s technical disciplines, particularly in data analytics or related fields
- At least two years of professional experience involving data retrieval, cleaning, and analysis
- Strong command of SQL, Python, Postgres, Tableau, and Advanced Excel
- Experience with statistical analysis, experimental design, and A/B testing in real-world settings
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized with strong time-management abilities and adaptability to rotational schedules
- A genuine commitment to education, continuous learning, and learner advocacy
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
Work Environment
This role operates locally in New Delhi and Visakhapatnam, with a requirement to work rotational shifts and flexible week-offs based on business needs.
