tem is hiring a Strategic Communications Lead to shape how the company is understood, trusted, and positioned as it builds a new category in energy. You will act as the strategic partner to the Chief Growth Officer for company narrative, positioning, and major corporate communications, connecting leadership intent with external perception.
What You'll Do
- Deliver tem’s company-level narrative, ensuring it shows up consistently across leadership, media, policy, and commercial moments.
- Act as the strategic communications partner to the Chief Growth Officer, turning complex input into clear recommendations.
- Lead major corporate communications moments such as annual reporting, category narratives, regulatory developments, and high-impact stakeholder announcements.
- Triage and steer public affairs topics with PR and government partners, ensuring the right posture and priorities.
- Build comms readiness across the organisation with message frameworks, spokesperson alignment, and issue preparedness.
- Design simple operating systems for strategic comms to ensure quality is repeatable and fast.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, or related roles in a fast-growing or regulated environment.
- Strong judgement and comfort operating close to senior leadership.
- Experience navigating complex issues management scenarios.
- Experience developing multi-market communications plans.
- Ability to simplify complexity and make trade-offs under ambiguity.
- Excellent stakeholder management across functions and external partners.
- A high writing bar for senior narrative, statements, and long-form materials.
- A calm, structured approach to issues and moments of scrutiny.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or other trust- and regulation-heavy categories.
- Experience working with global communications advisory or PR agencies.
- Experience working closely with a Chief of Staff or in a leadership operating role.
- A track record of building comms systems that scale with the organisation.
- Familiarity with energy markets, infrastructure, or policy environments.

Sits across the organisation, close to leadership. Works hand in hand with the future Chief of Staff. Reports to the Chief Growth Officer.
